Make Money with Your Chatbot
Quora's AI chatbot platform, Poe, has initiated a groundbreaking program to financially reward bot creators. In a unique step for the AI industry, creators can now generate income through two methods. If a bot facilitates a user to subscribe to Poe, the creator receives a share of the subscription revenue. Further, bot creators can levy a per-message fee that Quora will shoulder upon every message dispatched - an option soon to be activated.
Since its launch in February, Poe has evolved into a popular platform with a steep increase in downloads and nearly 1.22 million monthly active users. To fuel further growth, Poe is now offering its unique monetization program to U.S creators, paying up to $20 per user subscribing via a creator's bot.
This novel program aims to empower smaller companies or AI research groups lacking the resources to create bots, offering them the opportunity to reach a wider audience. Poe’s platform not only helps creators monetize their bots but also enables Poe to increase its subscribers organically. Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo is optimistic and envisions a myriad of possibilities for bot creators in diverse arenas.
Today we are launching creator monetization for Poe! This program lets any bot creator on Poe generate revenue. This is a major step forward for the platform and is the first program of its kind, so we are very excited to see what it lets everyone create. (thread)
